Privacy Policy

Who I am

I am an Indiana real estate broker (license RB19000033) affiliated with RE/MAX Acclaimed Properties, 3695 S Sare Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401 (company license LC20700100). I operate my business through Tarah Lynn Cromer Real Estate LLC. Each RE/MAX office is independently owned and operated. This Site is operated by me, not by RE/MAX, LLC, and RE/MAX, LLC’s privacy notice does not apply to it.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you fill out a form, request a home value review, create a home search account, save a search or contact me, I may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing or property address, details about the home you want to buy or sell, your timeline, and anything you choose to write in a message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, my website and service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, links you click, how you arrived at the Site, and your general location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Information from others. I may receive information about you from my brokerage, the multiple listing service, home search and listing sites, referral partners, or public records, such as property ownership and tax information.

Please don’t send sensitive information through the Site, such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or passwords.

Messages you send through the Site’s forms are emailed to me, and a copy is kept in the Site’s dashboard.

How I use information

• To respond to your questions and requests, and to provide real estate services
• To set up and run your home search account, saved searches and new-listing alerts
• To prepare home value reviews, comparable sales and estimates of proceeds
• To send you information you asked for, market updates and marketing, which you can stop at any time
• To run, maintain, secure and improve the Site
• To comply with laws, licensing rules, MLS rules and brokerage record-keeping requirements
• To protect my rights, my clients and the public, and to prevent fraud

How I share information

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only as described here:

• My brokerage, RE/MAX Acclaimed Properties, which supervises my real estate activity and keeps required records
• Service providers who help run the Site and my business, such as my website host and designer, my home search (IDX) provider, email and office software, and customer relationship tools. They may use your information only to provide services to me.
• People involved in your transaction, when you ask me to or it’s needed to complete your purchase or sale, such as lenders, title companies, inspectors, appraisers, attorneys, insurance agents and other agents
• The multiple listing service and listing sites, for information about a property you list with me
• Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect rights, property or safety
• A business transfer, if my business or its records are sold or transferred
• Anyone else, with your permission

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, remember your preferences and saved searches, and understand how visitors use it. I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. I may also use Google advertising tools that show ads for my listings or services on other websites and apps based on your visits here.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, and opt out of many interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. The Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

My home search provider, Buying Buddy, also uses cookies to remember your saved searches and favorite homes when you create a home search account.

Phone calls and text messages

If you give me your phone number and agree to be contacted, you agree that I may personally call or text you about your inquiry and my real estate services. The Site does not send automated text messages. Agreeing is not a condition of buying or selling property or using my services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP or tell me at any time, and I’ll stop texting you. I don’t share your mobile number or texting consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Email

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in the email or by contacting me. I may still send messages about an active transaction or a request you made.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to:

• Tell you what personal information I have about you, and give you a copy
• Correct information that’s wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop sending you marketing or using your information for targeted advertising

To make a request, contact me using the information below. I’ll respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity. Some information must be kept to meet legal, licensing, brokerage or MLS requirements, or to complete a transaction, so I can’t always delete everything. If I deny your request, you can appeal by replying to my response, and I’ll answer your appeal within 60 days. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights. I will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How long I keep information

I keep information as long as needed for the purposes above, including the time required by Indiana real estate licensing rules, my brokerage and the MLS, then delete or de-identify it.

How I protect information

I and my service providers use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee the security of information sent to me.

Children

The Site is meant for adults. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given me information, contact me and I will delete it.

Other websites

The Site links to and embeds content from other websites, such as listing sites, social media and maps. Their privacy practices are their own, and I’m not responsible for them.

Changes to this Policy

I may update this Policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
